This Donation & Refund Policy outlines how donations are processed, acknowledged, and handled, including our approach to refunds.
1. Donations are Voluntary and Non-Refundable
Donations made to Sri Sai Jyothi Old Age Home are voluntary contributions given for charitable purposes and are non-refundable once processed, except in specific circumstances listed below.
By making a donation, you agree that:
Your contribution is a voluntary gift to support our mission and activities.
Sri Sai Jyothi Old Age Home is not obligated to return the donated amount.
You will not receive any ownership interest, benefit, or compensation in exchange for your donation.
2. Use of Donations
All donated funds are used solely for the welfare of senior citizens and in furtherance of our charitable objectives, including but not limited to:
Nutritious meals for residents
Medical support and medicines
Accommodation and caregiving
Maintenance of facilities
Activities that enhance quality of life
Administrative costs directly linked to service delivery
We ensure that donations are used responsibly, transparently, and ethically.
3. Tax Exemption
Sri Sai Jyothi Old Age Home is registered for 80G and 12A tax exemptions as per Indian tax law. Donations made to us may qualify for tax deduction under Section 80G and 12A of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
Donors are encouraged to consult their tax advisor for applicable benefits and retain receipts for filing.
4. Donation Receipts
All donations will be acknowledged with a receipt.
If provided, donor details like name, address, and email are used to issue receipts and necessary tax documents.
Receipts will be issued via email or physical mail as requested by the donor.
5. Refund Situations
While donations are generally non-refundable, the following circumstances may warrant refunds at the discretion of Sri Sai Jyothi Old Age Home:
a. Duplicate Payments:
If you accidentally made the same donation more than once, a refund may be issued upon request.
b. Failed or Unauthorized Transactions:
If a payment fails or is authorized without your consent, a refund may be processed.
c. Donor Request Due to Exceptional Circumstances:
In rare situations where a donor has a legitimate reason to request cancellation, Sri Sai Jyothi Old Age Home may consider a refund on a case-by-case basis.
